When you’re feeling unfulfilled in your life and career, sometimes it can feel tempting to trash everything, move halfway across the world to find yourself, and start fresh. While that works for some people (*raises hand*), not everyone needs to go down that route. In fact, you may be able to find the fulfillment you’re looking for without leaving your current job at all.
Take Alex Bisker, my guest for Episode 035: Using Side Projects to Add More Fire to Your Life. Alex had a winding career path doing a lot of different work she was good at in areas she loved. But still, she found herself approaching me several years ago for coaching because she wanted her work to to have “a bigger impact in her heart.”
After a lot of talking and thinking, we found a great career path for Alex that checked so many boxes, but we also realized she needed more in order to find the fulfillment she was looking for. So, she started to use her time outside of work to throw herself into volunteering and activism for women’s rights, giving her exactly the more she was looking for.
Since then, Alex has learned a lot about juggling everything she’s got going on, choosing the opportunities where she can have the most impact, and prioritizing her time based on what will set her up for the life she wants to lead in the future. And she’s sharing it all with us.
Here are a few of the things you can look forward to learning:
